Insurance participation and coverage may vary by provider and plan. We recommend contacting your insurance company directly to verify your mental health benefits, deductible, copayment, coinsurance, and authorization requirements.

As a courtesy, we may verify your benefits prior to your first appointment. However, benefit verification is not a guarantee of payment.

Clients are responsible for:

• Copayments
• Coinsurance
• Deductibles
• Non-covered services
• Any balances not paid by insurance

If your insurance coverage changes, please notify our office as soon as possible.

Clients may choose to pay privately rather than use insurance benefits.

Self-pay services may be beneficial for individuals who:

• Prefer increased privacy
• Have high deductibles
• Do not have insurance coverage
• Wish to avoid a mental health diagnosis being submitted to insurance

Brighter Day Counseling Services may offer reduced-fee counseling through supervised counseling interns when openings are available.

These services provide affordable access to care while maintaining professional oversight and quality treatment.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

We accept:

• Debit Cards
• Health Savings Accounts (HSA) when applicable
• Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) when applicable

A valid payment method may be required to remain on file.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice and missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointment fees.

Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may impact future scheduling availability.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges to clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use their insurance benefits.

A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected cost of counseling services based on information available at the time the estimate is prepared.

You have the right to:

• Receive a Good Faith Estimate before services begin
• Request an updated estimate if treatment needs change
• Dispute a bill that exceeds the estimate by $400 or more
